More About Regan

This is my cousin, who I call my sister. I am three years older, and we've been best friends since she was born (not that she had a ton of say in the matter)! She is the realest ride or die there ever was. She is joy incarnate and her smile is infectious. my love for photography started with our awkward teenage photoshoots and mirror selfies. the images resurface every so often and i'm just so thankful that glow-ups are real in terms of looks and talents! She is still my favorite person to grab a camera with and remember where it all started.

My best friend

This is my husband and our sweet and crazy pups. my husband and I got married in august 2022 and it was hands down the best week ever! he is kind hearted, supportive, smart, quick witted and really cute. I love adventuring with him and just experiencing life. He has been my biggest support while jumping into the field of photography. And though he doesn't love being in front of the camera, he does it for me and it's the best. i mean just look at him!

My family

The saying in our house growing up was, "remember who you are." These are my people. They are who formed me and raised me. Who taught me the value of being intentional with everyone and everything. who taught me to love hard like jesus and give from that space abundantly. these are the people who would drop anything and show up for me. In 2011, i made them start taking family portraits every year - we pass around my camera or set up my tripod to make these pictures happen and sometimes we have to get really creative! these photos are some of my most cherished possessions. We have captured so many sweet moments of our growing family - from spouses to babies - and i wouldn't trade it for the world. I 10/10 recommend the tradition, and i know a photographer who could make that happen!

Where i'm from

I READ ONCE THAT "YOUR TALENTS ARE GOD'S GIFT TO YOU, BUT WHAT YOU DO WITH them IS YOUR GIFT TO GOD." I believe that we are all created with art hearts. with the desire to create, to make, to explore and experience beauty. I have loved art my entire life. I love that perfection doesn't exist and it's a come as you are type of thing. art is a place for the out pouring of your heart - where you are free to just be in the right here and right now. my main areas of exploration in art are through photography, ceramics, and watercolors and pastels. i love photography because it allows me to really capture the people in front of my lens - to see and experience their hearts. I love ceramics because i get to physically leave my imprint on a functional object that others can enjoy. I love pastels and watercolor because they allow me to recreate and commemorate important moments and places in my life. I hope that through seeing my art heart that yours may be inspired to create as well.

before we go any further - i will say that i love just about anywhere that is near water, which i guess is why you can catch me living in Wilmington! But the drum roll place that captured my heart is: Sestri levante, A little fishing town on the northern coast of italy. we had, as bob ross would say, "a happy accident" when we stumbled across this town on our honeymoon. i'm hesitant to even share it because it feels like a hidden gem that is just so magical and special. I mean a place dreams are made of - not so ironically one of the bays is called "The bay of fairytales."
